Overview
The Golden Civic Centre is owned by the Town of Golden and Kicking Horse Culture has been appointed by the Town to manage and operate the Civic Centre. The CC was built by volunteers after WW2 and completed in 1948. Kicking Horse Culture and the Town are participating in a Select Committee of community volunteers to "Rebirth" the building.
On the first floor we have a community hall, concession area, washrooms and a proscenium stage and apron fully equipped with theatrical lights and curtains. In the basement is a catering kitchen and meeting rooms. The hall is accessible.

The hall is suitable for concerts, weddings, conferences, meetings and workshop activities. Seating is flexible. Chairs (225) and banquet tables are available. More chairs can be rented if needed. Bookings can be made by the hour or the day. Special weekend wedding packages are also available.
Rates are competitive and affirmed by the Town of Golden and vary depending upon the use of the building and whether alcohol is served. There is an extra charge for use of both the theatrical lights and sound system.
