Celebrating the Golden Torch Relay and the Snow King’s MasqueParade
With the support of Heritage Canada funds, KHC is contracting with local artists, artisans skilled in the performing, literary, visual and media arts to develop and deliver a schedule of teaching workshops in these creative disciplines. While the primary focus is on engaging children and youth, the workshops will be open to folks of all ages.
These mentoring/teaching activities will be free to community members and the participants will work with their mentors towards the creation of finished creative pieces that can be performed or displayed during the celebrations of the Olympic Torch Relay (Jan. 15-23) and the Snow King’s MasqueParade (Feb. 13).
